This year Rajasthan Royals will play about eight T20 matches in SMS this season.

People of the state reeling under inflation, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has given relief to the people. Presenting the 2012-13 budget, CM Gehlot announced reduction of VAT on petrol by 2 percent, which was earlier 28 percent. Petrol will now approximately cost Rs. 1.50 less. Tax on kerosene has been completely withdrawn. Apart from this, all forms of entertainment has been made tax free. Watching cinema and cable are now complete tax free.
Those who delayed buying vehicles, made the right decision. CM Gehlot has reduced VAT from 8 percent to 4 percent on two wheelers till 125 cc. Cars will also cost less, as VAT has been brought down from 10 percent to 8 percent. Sun glasses also cost less. However, tobacco products in state will cost more.
The books for Classes IX to XII will also cost 15% to 20% more from the academic session 2012-13.
According to the council, the demand for textbooks during the 2012-13 session will be around 3.5 crore.
The council had to revise printing charges by around 50% after a gap of 13 years. NCERT is mandated to publish books for the schools affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and it decides on the print run of the books on the basis of the enrollment data.
The council has increased the price to a maximum of Rs 45 per book for Classes I to VIII. For higher classes, the average price rise has been 15% to 20%.

On March 22 the play With Love will see Sarabhai and Australian director Steve Mayer- Miller create Tagore as he paints, ponders and battles personal demons. Celebrated actor Tom Alter plays Tagore.
The next day, on March 23, the city will see Ritu Chakra and Street of Voices. In Ritu Chakra, Australian choreographer Liz Lea, Revanta and Anahita Sarabhai have created a full evening of dance to Tagore’s cycle of seasons, reinterpreted in contemporary fashion. This will be followed by Street of Voices by Scottish puppetry expert Symon Macintyre depicting short stories using puppets, dancers, actors, film and the real stories of today’s Indian women.
The shows will be performed at 7:30 pm on both days and the entry is free.

According to sources connected to the RCA and Rajasthan Royals, in case the high level government did not intervene soon, then the IPL matches in Jaipur, can be shifted to Ahmedabad .
