VAT on Petrol reduced by 2 percent

People of the state reeling under inflation, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has given relief to the people. Presenting the 2012-13 budget, CM Gehlot announced reduction of VAT on petrol by 2 percent, which was earlier 28 percent. Petrol will now approximately cost Rs. 1.50 less. Tax on kerosene has been completely withdrawn. Apart from this, all forms of entertainment has been made tax free. Watching cinema and cable are now complete tax free.

Those who delayed buying vehicles, made the right decision. CM Gehlot has reduced VAT from 8 percent to 4 percent on two wheelers till 125 cc. Cars will also cost less, as VAT has been brought down from 10 percent to  8 percent. Sun glasses also cost less. However, tobacco products in state will cost more.
