SC shows green signal to ‘Right To Education, applicable from today

Hearing the appeal of Private Schools against ‘Right To Education (RTE)’ act, The Supreme Court show green signal to the Act. After the verdict of SC, the act will be applicable to all Government, non-Government and Private schools with immediate effect from Thursday. According to act, every school will reserve 25 percent seats for students belong to economically weaker sections.

Though, the act would not be applicable on unaided minority schools and boarding schools. The SC said that RTE Act will not apply to those institutions run by minority organisations and which do not receive a single penny as aid either from the government or local bodies. A bench of Chief Justice SH Kapadia, KS Radhakrishnan and Swantanter Kumar pronounced the verdict. It is noted that the bench had reserved its verdict on August 3 last year.

    Its very good step taken by Supreme Court. Every one have right to education and it will help lot more to poor family. As per child labouring is getting more restricted it allows poor children that to go school. Now many steps taken by government towards education for example they open more schools those are given free education to poor. NGO also playing good role and participating in this movement.
