The Jaipur Jewellery Show in its 11th edition began yesterday in full spring. Inaugurated by Margaret Alva, and scheduled for 20-23 December 2013, It is the largest business to business & business to consumer jewellery exhibition of India. Such is the extensive display gemstones, rough stones and finished exquisite jewellery that, jewellers from all over the world come together to exhibit their work for mass-sale and retail.
Once you enter the show venue, the first thing that comes to notice is the classic organisation and order of the whole gamut of jewellery stalls. There is a lot of creativity involved in the decor of each exhibitor’s stall and it is reflective of the persona of their jewellery brand. After all, amongst the vast range of awards announced in this show, one is for the Best Booth at the show! This year, the prizes for the best stall were given to by Jewels Emporium and Birdhichand Ghanshyam Das Jewellers. Birdhichand’s booth was indeed the highlight with its video wall, and the theme of Rajasthani Architecture.
The organising team puts their sweat and soul into the show’s success; it is to their credit that JJS has been listed in the renowned jewellery exhibitions of the world. They are a team with a cause! Some of their social objectives is to create job opportunities at rural and urban level and to initiate social projects.
With the advent and vast success of the show, the jewellery market potential of Jaipur has come to light; so much so, that the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) has organized India-China buyer-seller meet and also India-Russia summit.
