A typical Jaipurite celebrates food everyday, but some whiles are exceptional. Yes, the most awaited time of the year is when the Pink City waits anxiously for the ‘Food Oscars’ given by Times Food & Nightlife Awards, Jaipur.
Jaipur Beat was keenly waiting for this award function too, so that to know about the best restaurants, bars, cafes of this food loving city. So, today we will take you to the Times Food & Nightlife Awards, Jaipur where the best of food and nightlife is honored along with a feast for the invited foodies who got to sample the most delicious food of pink city all under one roof.
The evening was high on life with the creme de la creme of the city that made the Times Food and Nightlife Award, as always, the most sought after event of the year. The city’s Glitterati, restaurateurs and industry experts flocked at Marriot Jaipur on Monday, the 18th Jan for the 2016 edition of the Times Food and Nightlife Awards, which was held in connotation with PepperTap and powered by What’s Hot.
The stage was all set with the magnificent backdrop of the glorious Hawa Mahal. Similar to the last three years this year too the host Anuj Guruwara took the stage. Himanshu Soni T.V actor launched “The Times Food Guide” which was compiled and written by famous food writer Dharamendra Kanwar. Sharing her experience while doing surveys for the Times Food Guide, she insists to every restaurant owner of the city for being particular about the service part because more than your food it’s the service and hospitality that counts.
Grammy Award Winner-Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Actress Rama Pandey, Politician-Rajiv Arora, Renowned Jeweller -Sudhir Kasliwal, Saurabh Kakkar, Manan Chaturvedi, Sandeep Bhaturia, Cardiologist Dr. Sudhir Bhandhari, Shirin Mirza of ‘Ye Jo Mohabbatein ‘ fame and many more who’s who of the city were present during the event to give away the prizes to the city’s F&B heroes.
The awards covered over 22 categories in fine dining, nightlife and casual dining.
The winners are split into ‘fine dining’ and ‘casual dining’ restaurants and the Nightlife awards. At the same time few new awards are also introduced like- Culinary Heritage Award given to Peshawari, Noteworthy Newcomer Award to Lazy Mozo , Best Restaurateur of the Year- to Rashmi Kuchhal, Director of Handi Restaurant and the Best Chef of the Year award was given to Parul kapoor.
It indeed was pleasure to see women power taking a front seat in the award ceremony and receiving the accolades.
After the awards ceremony, it was finally the time to gorge on to the delicious dinner laid by the winners in beautifully decorated stalls. The lingering aroma of Italian, Continental, Chinese, North Indian, South Indian, cakes and pastries were not letting the guests to resist their temptation. Undeniably, a treat for the guests to choose from the best in town 🙂
