A Cycle Affair To Remember – Jaipur Boy Sets Off On Solo Cycling Trip To Kanyakumari

Does reading or hearing about an extra ordinary travel tale give you an instant adrenaline rush to pack your bags and run?  Where do you want to travel to?  A chilling hill station, a tropical beach, a thrilling trek or a road trip with friends? But have you ever thought of travelling to the most important place which you often forget in the quotidian routine of life ? That place is ‘Inside Yourself’ 🙂
None of us are oblivious to the ‘Travel mania’ syndrome spreading like fire all around the world, but there are only few who know why they want to travel, and some find it out during their journey. One such person who is giving us the chills right now is Jaipur’s 21-year old Sudhanshu Verma.

A professional photographer from Jaipur, has began his solo trip on 10th March from Jaipur to Kanyakumari, but there is a catch here, he is doing it on a cycle !

Started my journey with an overwhelming see off by my cyclists’ family. It now feels a lot more positive with all the motivation and wishes. Thank you all. I’ve crossed Jobner. The sun’s a little harsh but I’m loving this satisfactory feeling inside. For later, will be camping at Sambhar” , said his Facebook update on the first day of his inspiring journey.

There is one more thing which is pretty intriguing about this zestful soul and his travel story, he is not disturbing his pocket too much. Offering his services in exchange for food at restaurants, living in his own tent and sleeping under the stars are some of his travel goals, not because he doesn’t have money, he very much does, but conventionalism is not something he is meant for 😉

A photographer by passion, he is not just keeping us hooked to his exciting story through Facebook and Instagram updates, but also leaving us spellbound with his gorgeous photographs clicked during the journey.

This is the first gurudwara I have seen on my route till now. Absorbing all positive energy here.
Yesterday on my way to Bijaynagar I met some amazing people on the road, who turned out to be my host. I can’t appreciate enough for their help. They are doing some great work by promoting ‪#‎swachbharat‬ in their city. Well they saved me from that too. I will reach Bhilwara in the evening.”
– March 13

Before setting off for this journey, he had joined a group called ‘Jaipur Cycling Comrade’ and there he found his inspiration and motivation to challenge himself for going on a long distance journey riding a bicycle.

“I was just starting with my journal and All of a sudden tears roll down my cheeks, I was pulled back into flash back.
Day 1
I was running late to reach where I had to start my trip. There was no excitement on that day, but I was feeling confident and there was an urge to leave to unknown!
With every stop I took, I met a different soul. Telling me to never stop. I recalled those words from the movie again ” It is not necessarily to be strong but to feel strong.”
So far the journey to self has been wonderful!”

We are proud of him and wish him all the best for this eccentric journey 🙂
