Jaipur’s Leading Jewellery House Birdhichand Stuns the Runway at Amazon India Fashion Week 2017

When we say that Jaipur is making it big on the Indian fashion scene, we mean it. One of the most famous fashion weeks of India, the Amazon India fashion week, started recently in Delhi and guess who showcased their collection on the opening day. It was none other than the famous Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas Jewellers from Jaipur. Amazon India Fashion Week takes place every year and many leading design houses and designers participate in the event. The latest trends of the season are displayed at the event. Given such a huge platform, it is definitely a matter of pride that Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas Jewellers participated in the opening day show of the event.blogIn a special event created by Vogue India, titled ‘Sari 24/7’, drapes by 60 leading designers were showcased on the runway. All these designs were adorned with an eclectic union of Indian handloom & fusion jewellery by Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas Jewellers. The stage was beautifully embellished with white balloons that added a subtle charm to the show.

blog2blog 1The Jaipur based jewellery brand added a royal touch to the chosen Sari ensemble with its bold and intrepid collection. An array of beautiful and traditional chokers, rani haars, dangling earrings, majestic Mathapatti, brazen bracelets/kadas, delicate anklets, big rings added bling to the models who walked the stage adorning beautiful drapes. The meticulously designed pieces studded with precious & semi-precious stones and encrusted with pearls, ghungroos, and vintage coins exuded élan offering a regal touch to the pastel silhouettes.blog4

Another moment of pride for Jaipur happened when Rajesh Pratap Singh, a designer from Jaipur (now based in Delhi) showcased his collection in an event supported by the Good Earth. The participating designers in this event presented their collections that were created from the textiles woven by the students of Handloom school in order to support the handloom industry.rpsThis is not the first time that designers from Jaipur have showcased their collection at such a prestigious platform. And we can safely say that definitely it’s  not the last. We are sure that much more is about to come.
