The 12th standard results are out and the admission process, in higher learning institutes, across the city is in full swing. After acing the senior secondary exams, students in Jaipur must definitely be flipping through many college websites in order to find the right one for them. Given this scenario we decided to lighten the burden of the confused students of Jaipur by sharing a list of top colleges and universities in Jaipur for higher education.

Girls Colleges

1.) MAHARANI’S COLLEGE

One of the oldest all girls college established in 1944 and situated in the heart of the city. The college offers degrees in B.A, B.Com, B.SC, B.CA and B.B.A. Today the college is a part of university of Rajasthan and is Asia’s largest multi faculty college. Extracurricular activities are given equal importance as academics for the overall development of students.

This all girls institute for higher education has a plethora of undergraduate, post graduate and professional courses due to the vast number of departments. NSS and NCC are extremely active and various clubs work to enhance the activity of the college.  The girl’s hostel is well furnished and gives a chance to girls from different parts of Rajasthan to live and study in an enriching environment.

Established in 1965 this institute offers higher education for women in UG, PG and other skill enhancement courses. It is situated on JLN Marg which also has other institutes for higher education. The college also has a hostel, computerised library, swimming pool, auditorium and various laboratories.

4.) MAHARAJA COLLEGE

Established in the year 1844 by the maharaja of Jaipur the college got its affiliation from university of Rajasthan in the year 1974. The campus is beautiful and the buildings are designed keeping in mind British Architecture. Courses offered are B.SC (pass course), B.SC (honours) and B.CA (under self finance scheme). The college houses a boy’s hostel with a capacity of 200 students and also has a well furnished library with over 1 lakh books.

 5.) ST. XAVIER’S COLLEGE

In a short span of 7 years, St. Xavier’s College has achieved the position of one of the top colleges in Jaipur. The college offers undergraduate courses in arts, management, computers and commerce. The annual college fest “ZEST” is considered one of the best in Jaipur and it involves participation from various colleges of India. It also has another campus in Nevta.

6.) PEARL  ACADEMY

Established 12 years ago as a branch of Pearl Academy, the Jaipur center boasts a huge campus with a beautifully designed building. UG and PG courses are offered in fashion, jewellery, interior, styling etc. It is also one of the highest ranked design colleges in Rajasthan.

7.) MANIPAL UNIVERSITY

Built on a land of 122 acres the university is not only for its beautiful campus but also for its quality education which is offered in UG, PG and PHD courses. Undergraduate courses include architecture, engineering, fashion design, humanities, social science etc. They have the facility of daily transportation for students residing in Jaipur and also have a separate boys and girls hostel in the campus.

12) R.A. PODAR Institute of Management

The oldest B-School in the city, Ramnath Anandilal Podar Institute of Management (RAPIM), has been a pioneer in management education for past 45 years.
