GST, the good and simple tax 😉 is here, however we are yet to find out the goodness and simplicity in it. Somehow all of us are still figuring out how to manage our expenditure based on the new tax system, especially those brides who had their weddings planned or scheduled in next few months, are more then a little tensed with the increase in taxes on beauty products and other related things. But we say, with a little bit of flexibility and wise thinking, you can look as beautiful as it gets on your wedding and actually set a trend of a low-cost yet a memorable and lovely wedding 🙂
1. Make-up
All you need is a good quality foundation, compact, kajal, eye liner and lipstick !! We assume you might already own these or you can just go buy them from the nearest departmental stores and splurge on these. We suggest you can even try a good smoky eye this time and no one will even look beyond your gorgeous eyes 😉
2. Jewellery
Remember the old Rani Haars and lovely bangles? Guess what, they are back in fashion ! So how about digging your Mom’s closet and taking out her classic jewels and layer them up !

3. Wedding lehenga
Talking about digging Mom’s closet, you might be aware of how so many celebrities are donning their mom/mom-in-law’s bridal lehengas, even Kareena Kapoor Khan did that ! So pull out your Mom’s lehenga and pair it up with a trendy traditional jacket, a new trendy blouse or just wear it as it is and complement with heavy jewellery. Not only will you save money but it will also make your Mom very happy. 🙂
4. Flowers
From wedding decor to using them in your hair, flowers are the best go-to beauties. Take a flower out of a bunch and put it in your bun, braids or tuck it in the side of your ears and look like a princess without too much effort 🙂
5. Facial
Rather than splurging on salon facials, go for Dadi maa ke nuske 😉 Use your haldi ceremony to the fullest and use some left over turmeric with milk, gram flour and lemon for glowing and softer skin before you get all set to take the plunge !
6. Wedding footwear
How many people actually notice your footwear under your lehenga ? Doesn’t mean you wear an unattractive pair of flip-flops, but just don’t invest too much and go with a comfortable pair of golden/silver heels.
Look gorgeous on your D-day 😀
