Media has always played a huge role in the development of any country. It is high time that media gets constructive about creating value for itself and its counterparts. The format and delivery of news has always changed as a result of technological change and innovation, but the basic human behaviour of wanting to uncover, tell, and share stories of common interest always remains. Keeping the same in mind an initiative has been taken in the form of, Talk Journalism, which is now coming up with its fourth edition in Pink City after a successful run of three editions (2012, 2015, and 2016) you can listen to some of the finest voices in Indian journalism and also meet them socially.
About Talk Journalism – A not-for-profit initiative, which is based on the idea to discuss about the present day journalism, a profession that brings forth and discusses upon every important aspect of the society but hardly ever gets to debate about itself.
Talk Journalism has seen a successful run of three editions (2012, 2015, and 2016) and now it is coming up with its fourth edition. The event has been designed to benefit all the professionals, students, companies and enthusiasts of journalism and is completely free of cost.
Highlights in 2017
Speakers
One of the biggest highlights of Talk Journalism is its speakers. The talk will host prominent speakers from the fraternity like Arun Shourie, Barkha Dutt, Rajdeep Sardesai and Christina Lamb (Author of I am MALALA) among others.
Workshops
Workshops by digital media giants like Google, Twitter and Instagram is going to be one fantastic opportunity for student journalists, college newspaper editor, reporters, and those interested in a career in journalism so as to learn about various issues relelating to journalism. A workshop on storytelling by Kommune, a leading community of artists, producers, patrons and art lovers, will also take place at the event.
The students of journalism will get a chance to meet the veteran investigative journalist; Nick Davies, who will hold a workshop for the students of journalism.
