This weekend the country’s capital witnessed flamboyant marks of regality as the leading jewellery brand of Jaipur, Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas Jewellers celebrated their presence in an extravagant private show while unveiling their latest collection Delhi Durbar at Taj Palace on 8th Sept 2018.
The exquisite Durbar like setting brought back the same pomp and show of the Mughals just as the original Delhi Durbar that was held in the year 1911 to commemorate the investiture ceremony of King George V and Queen Mary. Interesting isn’t it?
The pretentious Birdhichand’s Delhi Durbar setting built in ivory colour theme with beautiful arches and domes, fountains, stately pavilions, and elaborately decorated pathways brought back the epic era.
The gala event started amidst a grand gathering of Delhi’s socialites, and how can we miss Mr Anand Ahuja (Sonam’s Beau) and his family, who were excitingly waiting to see Sonam’s first walk on the ramp post her wedding as the showstopper for the Birdhichand’s Delhi Durbar.
Sonam looked breathtakingly beautiful in a bright purple dress matched with an elaborate bridal set from Delhi Durbar Collection.
The models walking on the ramp showcased the modern Indian bride look giving an ode to unforgettable jewels of royal India.
The exotic Bijoux designed by the Creative Director and Design Head at Birdhichand- Yash Agarwal were donned by the models along with the dresses designed under the label of Jayanti Reddy and styled by the celebrity stylist Tanya Ghavri.
Kutle Khan, a Rajasthani folk musician opened up the event with his mesmerizing voice. The gala was wrapped up with a harmonious performance by the Sitaara Band who played along as the guests enjoyed lavish cocktails and sit down dinner.
