It’s that time of the year again when the world celebrates the birthday of its legendary god by grooving on these beats. There’s fun, madness and passion in this festivity. Jaipur has already begun the celebration of this grand festivity to be held on 2nd September 2019. Its temples have lighted up with colours of joy. ”!

You can see hundreds of beautiful idols created across the streets of Jaipur (thanks to the efforts of these skilful artists!). Whether it’s JLN Marg or Ajmer Road, Bappa is making appearances everywhere.

And certainly, this celebration is incomplete without the magnificent arrangements at Moti Dungri Ganesh Mandir. For a true Jaipurite no auspicious ceremony, new purchase of a vehicle or the wedding is complete without taking the aashirwaad of Ganesh Ji at Moti Doongri temple.

This is the time when the local talents have got the opportunity to showcase their flair. Every day, graceful kathak dancers also give their performances.

The temple is flooded with devotees who are always donating their love in the form of our cutest deity’s favourite modaks. Not only that, honey and milk are offered in bulk as well. The priests’ plan to present Bappa with half a million ladoos weighing 11, 21 and 51 kgs reveals the spirit of the occasion.

It’s not all, there’s going to be ‘Shringar Mehndi’ event, where the idol will be adorned with henna. Also, as a practice, people will do the same on their hands.

In the end, Jhaankiyan or processions from Moti Dungri will leave for Garh Ganesh.

People from different parts of India come to Jaipur to visit this grand festivity. Fondness and dedication are beyond one’s imagination. The number will be pretty big but ease up, it’s not Kumbh ka Mela 😛

Furthermore, what makes it more interesting is the fact that the decorations have been massive as 141 works of gold have been done. It took 8 months to get the work done. That sounds insane right?! The temple looks like a fantasy land. The brightness of gold makes it highly alluring for eyes.

Every one of us has grown up hearing the stories of the broken tusk and elephant head and adores Bappa for who he is! Indian festivals not only bind families with joy but also usher positivity and peace

The whole team of Jaipur Beat wishes you and your whole family a very happy Ganesh Chaturthi. 🙂
