Inkaar the movie released on 18th January is currently playing in all the leading halls and multiplexes in Jaipur. Team JB decided to make the best use of their sunday by watching this in Inox pink square. Directed by Sudhir Mishra, who gave us earlier critically acclaimed movies such as Is Raat Ki Subah Nahin (1996) , Chameli (2003) and Hazaaron Khwaishein aisi (2005), this movie is about relationship between Boss Rahul (Arjun Rampal) and his prodigy Maya (Chitrangada) in an advertisement agency. The story takes a turn when Maya decide to file a complaint of Sexual Harassment against his senior and one time love Rahul. The story revolves around the ever changing mood of the lead characters, their struggle to hold on the position in the organisation and also how to safe guard their integrity.
Verdict : Good movie with some great direction and acting. However what stands out in this movie is the editing and camera panning/angles that makes the scene so impressive. The use of flash-back is also done very effectively during the interrogation scenes. Overall a great plot that drag towards the end but the climax pulls it back. The movie comes with a slick fast paced first half. The scene “tatti or shit” is very powerful in the first half. The man to watch is Arjun Rampal who has acted so well apart from looking like a greek god throughout. He plays the role of arrogant and ruthless boss to perfection.
And what to say about Chitrangada Singh, she looks hot and sexy in her tanned avatar. There is definite handicap as far as her acting is concerned but you tend to ignore with her kinda looks. Its also good to see Deepti Naval back. She looks as graceful as ever. Sudhir Mishra we are glad that you did not succumb to number game for commercial hindi cinema and made a really “different” movie with bold subject. Nothing much to write about the Music although from Shantanu Moitra. Must watch if you are ok with non-song/dance movie.
