Sky Waltz Cafe Review: A city getaway on Jaipur Delhi Highway

When the weather looked breezy on a weekday, we left the office early for a long fun drive on the Jaipur-Delhi highway. Just a kilometre or two’s drive from Amity University and NIMS institute, we spotted a Sky-Waltz Restaurant cafe on 228 KM Stone Delhi Jaipur Highway in half an hour’s drive from the city and its hustle-bustle.

Sky Waltz Jaipur Beat review

The white picket fence and the freshly-trimmed greens catch the eye and make for a very cosy entrance. Overlooking the Aravali Hills, the seating outside looks nothing short of a refreshment and romance therapy!

Sky Waltz Jaipur Beat review

As we open the doors to India’s Only Aviation themed cafe, and seat ourselves, what we see is a very eccentric ambiance that celebrates the art of flying machines. Our table had momento models of the Wright brothers aircraft, while the designs of cushions and cutlery speaks of aero-science and its history. White wrought-iron cycle placed inside with beautiful flowers in its basket just balanced the aero-act. From a hot-air balloon basket in one corner, hanger lights, sturdy metal chains to hold the furniture in place to the chance of dining in raised mid-air swing style, everything about the ambiance of the cafe spells exclusivity.

We ordered for a spinach, sundried tomato, corn, olives & feta pizza, fish & chips for our non-veg loving colleagues, and Wok-fried wild mushrooms & sesame chilli sauce. The drinks included coffee, and vanilla & caramel milkshake. Even their open-kitchen we noticed had an interesting interior with those uniquely hanging onions and garlic ! While going around the place, we noticed that our pizzas were being baked in an earthen oven in a very nouveau style, and the results confirmed just that! Good-food, rather great food makes the whole trip worthwhile; the fish served with the tartar sauce was succulent. The chef comes with some covetable culinary experience and the continental food is surely their USP.

Come with your friends, colleagues, partner or just anybody, you will love the place. They have lots of interesting theme-based stuff to look around and a board games corner too. If it’s a little late in the evening, the beautifully lit candles and the pure air surrounding the place create heavenly bliss.

All-in-all, it is a thumb-up from us to the Sky Waltz Aviation cafe. With the arriving monsoons, Jaipur surely has found an intimate getaway with the right scientific appeal for the ones interested. The really intriguing part about the place is that the owners plan to make seasonal introductions in the cafe’s ambiance and menu to keep the visitors hooked.

Gardening during Monsoon

Monsoon is the best season for planting, and also for preparing the existing plants for taking in the full pleasure of nourishment. Planting trees at this time reduces much of your labour on their establishment and maintenance. All sizes of trees and shrubs can be planted during the rainy season if you give careful attention to watering. The best way to welcome monsoon is planting trees and preparing the existing plants for nourishment. Here are some favoured plants for monsoon gardening:

1. Yellow Bladderwort (Utricularia stellaris): These insectivorous plants grow catchy yellow flowers, capture tiny insects and animals in the bladder and digest them.

2.  Dew Flower (Commelina benghalensis): This lovely plant bears flowers that have two, shiny dark blue petals. The entire flower is enclosed in a green sheath, with only two petals protruding out. There are various species of this plant; a few have yellow or orange-purple petals.
3. Monsoon Cassia (Cassia tora): These plants can cover any extra patches in your garden. The pale yellow petals are set against the leaves.
4. Hill Turmeric (Curcuma pseudomontana): These plants grow along the ground and the small flowers that emerge from between the broad leaves are a pretty sight to see. The flowers grow in various hues including mauve-purple, yellow, rose, crimson and red. This is certainly one of the top monsoon plants for your garden.

Even though all the above tips are very easy to follow and they are very well known to everybody, due to lack of time and energy many cannot exactly follow them. Once we practice in the proper way, it will become our routine then. Try to grow a rose plant. One day if you happened to see the first rose blooming in that plant, you will feel that happiness of gardening definitely. Then, you will start to plant some small plants which may be of some use to your kitchen. This will give you a complete happiness. Don’t forget to use natural manure. Try to avoid more use of chemicals to nurture the plants. Plant more trees and shrubs, in organic way. Enjoy Gardening!
