7 Places To Eat When You Are At The World Trade Park, Jaipur

This place looks no less than an English house, or a cathedral from inside? We are sure that every Jaipurite has been to this building. To some, especially the photographers this is usually depicted as the beginning of development in Jaipur or you can call westernization of this small fabled city. Any guess about the place we are talking about?

With large and old chandeliers to olden Greek styled wall paintings, we take you to the World Trade Park. World Trade Park or WTP in its short form, houses more than 500 brands. Well, this time we won’t be talking about the shopping brands.

Sky Waltz Cafe Review: A city getaway on Jaipur Delhi Highway

When the weather looked breezy on a weekday, we left the office early for a long fun drive on the Jaipur-Delhi highway. Just a kilometre or two’s drive from Amity University and NIMS institute, we spotted a Sky-Waltz Restaurant cafe on 228 KM Stone Delhi Jaipur Highway in half an hour’s drive from the city and its hustle-bustle.

The white picket fence and the freshly-trimmed greens catch the eye and make for a very cosy entrance. Overlooking the Aravali Hills, the seating outside looks nothing short of a refreshment and romance therapy!

As we open the doors to India’s Only Aviation themed cafe, and seat ourselves, what we see is a very eccentric ambiance that celebrates the art of flying machines. Our table had momento models of the Wright brothers aircraft, while the designs of cushions and cutlery speaks of aero-science and its history. White wrought-iron cycle placed inside with beautiful flowers in its basket just balanced the aero-act. From a hot-air balloon basket in one corner, hanger lights, sturdy metal chains to hold the furniture in place to the chance of dining in raised mid-air swing style, everything about the ambiance of the cafe spells exclusivity.

We ordered for a spinach, sundried tomato, corn, olives & feta pizza, fish & chips for our non-veg loving colleagues, and Wok-fried wild mushrooms & sesame chilli sauce. The drinks included coffee, and vanilla & caramel milkshake. Even their open-kitchen we noticed had an interesting interior with those uniquely hanging onions and garlic ! While going around the place, we noticed that our pizzas were being baked in an earthen oven in a very nouveau style, and the results confirmed just that! Good-food, rather great food makes the whole trip worthwhile; the fish served with the tartar sauce was succulent. The chef comes with some covetable culinary experience and the continental food is surely their USP.

Come with your friends, colleagues, partner or just anybody, you will love the place. They have lots of interesting theme-based stuff to look around and a board games corner too. If it’s a little late in the evening, the beautifully lit candles and the pure air surrounding the place create heavenly bliss.

All-in-all, it is a thumb-up from us to the Sky Waltz Aviation cafe. With the arriving monsoons, Jaipur surely has found an intimate getaway with the right scientific appeal for the ones interested. The really intriguing part about the place is that the owners plan to make seasonal introductions in the cafe’s ambiance and menu to keep the visitors hooked.

Restaurant Review: Mamu’s Infusion

Jaipur Beat Mamu's Infusion
One of our colleague’s friends at Jaipur beat was visiting Jaipur, and all of us wanted to meet him over coffee and food. As per the original plan we were to eat Italian but that didn’t happen as the restaurant was closed, and then while driving around we spotted Mamu’s Infusion. We had been reading about it in local newspapers, and how it was the restaurant version of the old-and-famous ‘Mamu’s’ shop at C-scheme.

We opened the doors to a Victorian-looking cafe at about 8:00 pm and occupied a table that seated the four of us there. The cafe has colours, some quirks in its furniture, a book-shelf and beautiful chandeliers. You can’t visit a Mamu’s joint and not order cold-coffee, and so we ordered cafe-frappes for all of us. Jalapeno poppers and pink pasta for food, on the basis of suggestions from the staff there, after which we started our chit-chat session.

Jaipur Beat Mamu's Infusion Review

Just then, families started pouring in and with all the kids at their excited best, we had to adjust our volumes and ears in order to be able to carry on with our conversation. Our guess is, it is a place suited for friends and family, you just have to stick to the usual hanging-out timings of each.
Our tall foil-covered glasses of coffee arrived and they looked really nice; it tasted just as nice as it looked. The jalapeno poppers and the pink pasta were good too. The place also recommends their whole-wheat pizza and pasta for the health-conscious and a new-dish called papad-platter for the papad lovers.

Jaipur Beat Mamu's Infusion Review

We felt too full and for the first-time decided to skip the dessert; but as luck would have it, the owner of Infusion offered us to try their very-signature mud-pie, and that too as a complementary dessert! No matter how much one grows up, the charm of complementary stuff never wears off 😉 It was indeed a unique and tempting looking dessert, where the brownie was filled in a small-pot like mud! And a small water-dispenser containing chocolate-sauce came along with it. We couldn’t resist and finished every last speck of it!

All in all, a very new and refreshing hang-out for Jaipur with a decently-priced menu, such that you would want to go there again!
