Fashion is elegance, lifestyle and originality. It is the essence of a person’s way of living. Jaipur has always added a special edge to fashion with its unique blending of traditionalism and modern designs. And now our city has got a new place for learning the facets of fashion and modernity in a traditional ‘Gurukul’ way.
To inculcate the core values of tradition supplemented with a niche for fashion, the renowned designer, Raghavendra Rathore along with Tarang Arora of Amrapali Jewels, has announced the inaugural of the fashion & design institute, The Gurukul School of Design (GSD) in Jaipur.
Inspired by the traditional Indian values of guru-shishya concepts, the Gurukul School of Design is set to revolutionise the teaching methods of fashion and design education in India. The school aims at introducing innovative educational tools into a contemporary curriculum with a holistic approach and is envisioned to make a difference on the design education prospects in Rajasthan.
The programme will allow students to emulate the lives of designers and learn from prominent fashion entrepreneurs and professionals from India and abroad.
The idea behind the Gurukul School of Design is teaching students the value of Indian culture through its interpretation of the Gurukul way of life and to impart specialized knowledge to students to become entrepreneurs, as soon as they graduate. Students would learn to value the immense knowledge of global cultures, heritage and the rich resources & learn as well as practise design in a completely new way.
GSD progresses students to Think Critically | Grow Spiritually | Change the Fashion World.
Location- Ramchandrapura, Sitapura.
